Prefects’ Investiture

This assembly started as usual with the Assembly Recital. For today, Gretchen from 5N2 and Kenny from 4E1 did a piano duet of Dolly Sweet, a classical piece. When they were playing, the sweet melody of the song rang throughout the hall. Although it was not easy, they still managed to pull it off.
Next was the main event for the day, The Prefects’ Investiture. Mrs Mohinder gave a short speech first to kick off the event and also the lighting of the candle that represents the knowledge and wisdom from the principals and teachers.
Then came the time to give the new prefects their tie badge which was given out by Mrs Mohinder also. The new prefects stood on stage proudly with their new tie badge as the Prefect committee members came up on stage too wearing their maroon jackets.
Next, they recited the Prefects’ Pledge led by our current head prefect.
Now, we all have new prefects added to the school.
